Sue sourced some amazing crystal cabochons and has been developing a beautiful beaded bezel to mount them. In this exciting new workshop she will teach you her technique of surrounding the cabochons with seed beads to create pendants and rings or join small ones together to make pretty necklaces and bracelets.
You can buy these crystal stones from Sue on the day and be inspired to develop your own ideas. You will need a working knowledge of Peyote Stitch.
Basic Wirework and Chains */**

Come and master the basic loop-turning techniques, and more, needed to make your own earrings, bracelets etc. with this inspiring young guest tutor. Take the skills further to create your own clasps, make bead cages etc.
George works with wire and pliers and uses the beads as embellishments where needed. Pliers are provided for use in the class and we let you take the cutters home together with all your wonderful creations, just in time for the festive season's parties!
In the afternoon (time permitting) you will master making your own jump rings and turn them into various woven chains etc.
Also, George is quite happy, indeed pleased, if students bring projects, repairs, problems and/or ideas to challenge his ingenuity throughout the day!
The Celtic Path */**

The Celts developed a unique form of interlacing knotwork. This knowledge had been lost for over a thousand years and only in the last 100 years has it been rediscovered. Now, you too can learn how to bead Celtic knotwork.
In this two-part workshop you will learn how to make a purse for a mobile phone or credit cards and strap using peyote stitch. You will also learn how to read a graph and design simple Celtic patterns.
The stitches you will learn are: odd-count peyote and tubular peyote.
This is a 2 day course, taking place over two consecutive Saturdays.
Week One (18th October) You will learn how to start your purse with tubular peyote with some decreasing of rows, read a graph and design simple Celtic patterns.
Week Two (25th October) You will learn odd-count peyote to finish the purse for the strap, flap and bottom.
Elegant Elements */**

Come and make these pretty cushion shaped elements. Joined together they make lovely bracelets and necklaces.
The elements use a small amount of seed beads teemed with crystals or firepolish facets.
Endless Loomwork! */**

Create a winter skyline scene bracelet using “no weaving in” loomwork, learn how to make beautiful loomed pieces without weaving in those threads!
You will need a loom that can weave a piece 2” x 7” using Delica beads. If you do not have a loom Charisma Beads Ltd does have a few looms available for loan, please ask.

Fast Fashion & Repairs *

10am – 1pm (30 minute coffee break)

Booking deadline: 6th December
A general workshop covering everything from basic re-stringing techniques and knotting to quick fashion items using cable, fishing-line, crimps, pliers & beads. Illusion-look jewellery and three-dimensional pieces are all possible using the same basic technique.
We will also look at other quick-make ideas incorporating cord or thong, elastic etc. including how to make a cord necklace with its own fastener that adjusts to change the length! Three hours of action-packed play-time to chill you out before Christmas is upon us!
If the morning session fills very quickly we might be persuaded to put on a second session in the afternoon!
Places are limited so book early. Fees payable on booking.
Please ensure you get your booking form to us before the deadline date.

Booking confirmation will be sent, together with a materials list (if applicable), as soon as the course becomes viable and only at that time will your cheque be cashed.
If you have booked a place and find you can't come please let us know - if we can sell your place you get the fee refunded!
